Executive Team

Our RSO consists of a 6 member executive team that each hold a unique leadership position. Each officer is an undergraduate student and leader here at the University of Washington, pursing different career paths and academic journeys, but all share the same drive to help those are less fortunate in the U-district.

President, Co-Founder – Justin Ho

Justin is currently a Junior at the University of Washington studying a Bachelor of Science of Chemistry. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, he has a strong passion in community service and giving back to those who are less fortunate. In high school, he co-founded a club dedicated to providing hygiene products to those who were below the poverty line or needed assistance. He is currently volunteering with the UW School of Dentistry Campus Dental Center, in the hopes of pursing a career in dentistry and community health. As co-founder of the “Health Advocacy for Care and Kindness” RSO on campus, he hopes to contribute to improving hygiene and general health to those who are less fortunate.

Vice-President, Co-Founder – Ana Marie Gantuangco

Ana is currently a third year at UW studying Public Health. Speaking upon her vision for HACK, she writes: “HACK at UW represents a hope for progress in Seattle. To me, my vision is tackling the presence of homelessness in Seattle, starting within our community and spreading towards the greater Seattle. It starts with helping those in need, while pushing our local government to do something.”

Secretary – Gabriel Zhang

Gabe is psychology major going into his Junior year at UW. Originally born in Singapore, he moved to the states when he was ten. After staying in the east coast for a couple years, his family moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon, where they still live today. In his free time, Gabe enjoys working out, taking naps, and playing league of legends. Helping the impoverished and less fortunate has always been on the bucket list for him. Joining HACK@UW is a great opportunity to help the community while understanding and empathizing with an overlooked population.

Finance – Aayushi Soni

Outreach/Procurement – Jacob Hansen

Jacob is a junior at the University of Washington pursuing a degree in neuroscience. A native of the Seattle area, he sees HACK as a way to assist our neighbours who are struggling and to address the lack of service and empathy afforded to our local homeless population. As the Outreach Director he hopes to build a network of UW students and affiliates that can act as a reliable resource for the local unhoused community. On campus he is also involved with neuroscience research and the American Red Cross.

Social Media/Advertisement – Linda Chen

Linda is a Public Health-Global Health Junior at the University of Washington from Vancouver, Canada. She has an interest in healthcare and she is involved in multiple health policy-related research projects. She hopes to provide more healthcare resources and awareness to those in her community in the future!
