This calculator (SI units) is designed to estimate risk for end-stage liver disease (ESLD: first occurrence of ascites, hepatic encephalopathy, variceal bleeding or spontaneous bacterial peritonitis) for individuals living with HIV infection, aged 18 or older who have Fibrosis-4 score greater than 1.45. For optimal prediction, all fields should be completed. Once submitted, the calculator will provide a risk decile. Patients in the top or 10th decile have the greatest risk of progressing to ESLD.
