Sept. 14–16, 2020: Department Annual Retreat is all Virtual for 2020

This year the annual Immunology Department Annual Retreat is a VIRTUAL retreat on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, September 14-16, 2020.  There will also be a 1-hour VIRTUAL poster session on each of the three days.  The format will be slightly different format than for the in-person retreat.  Instead of having an actual poster to display, we will have each participant give a 3-slide presentation (not including title or acknowledgement slides) with no animations.  You can do a “reveal” however.  The presentation length will be under 10 minutes including Q&A time.  Time allocation for each presenter will depend on how many total presenters sign up.  More details will be provided in early-August on exactly how this all will work.  The plan is to have judges and prizes as in past year.

RETREAT POSTER SESSION

All graduate students and postdocs are encouraged to present a poster.  Graduate students in and beyond their 3rd year as of September 1, 2020, are expected to present.  We would like to have each lab represented.

To present a poster: Please fill out the Abstract Form (2020 Retreat Abstract Template in Word), being careful to stay within the margins and limiting your abstract text to fit the form on one page.  The abstract must be sent back via email to sst5@uw.edu as a WORD document – do not change it to a PDF or other version.  The abstract deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 3rd.

The Retreat Planning Committee will review all poster abstracts and select presenters for the oral presentations in one of the retreat workshops during the Scientific Sessions.  Workshop presenters will be notified by mid-August.
