I get many queries from prospective students, so I’ve created a page providing commonly requested information about grad school and my lab.  If you might be interested in my lab, please read this material before reaching out to me.  Once you’ve done so, please email me with additional questions, to let me know if you have external support, etc.  When I have RA support for a new student, I advertise the position on ECOLOG-L, the Ecological Society of America’s listserv.

I am a Professor in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, which is part of the College of the Environment at the University of Washington. My research centers on the restoration and management of ecosystems.
