Our laboratory is at the forefront of advancing and applying analytical Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) techniques with expertise in unveiling fundamental insights into materials and devices. We are an integral part of the Department of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) at the University of Washington and are stationed within the Institute for Nano-Engineered Systems (NanoES).

- Probing electronic structures and properties in two-dimensional materials
- Visualizing topological textures within quantum materials
- Exploring thermal and phonon transport in energy-focused nanomaterials at interfaces
- Understanding electron-light interactions at the nanoscale for nanophotonics
- Investigating molecular vibrations of amino acids in confined environments
