How can we strive to conduct and present research that is equitable and accessible? For this activity, you will watch Nikkita Oliver speak about issues of equity and access in research and information. Nikkita Oliver is a Seattle-based educator, attorney, community organizer abolitionist and artist. In March 2020, they were the keynote speaker for Going Public: Opening Scholarship to All.

“Being public is one of the core tenets of the University of Washington. Open scholarship and going public with our research means engaging the broader community with our work. But how do we do that? Going Public is a discussion and skill building event around the issues of (in)equity that inform communicating our research and accessing information, within and beyond the academy.”
