Overview

Are you new to using news feeds? Start slowly by choosing one way to stay current.

Journal of Experimental Medicine alert options with the alerts & feeds menu in yellow highlight

  • If you’ve already identified important journals in your field, a great way to stay connected is by signing yourself up for alerts or notifications. Choose one, go to the publisher’s website, register for an account if necessary, and sign up for automatic updates!
  • Do you want to track articles, books, or news on a particular topic? Try saving a search query in UW Libraries Search, a disciplinary database, Google, or Google Scholar by following the examples given in this module.
  • As you monitor the literature, consider saving key sources in a citation manager. Another activity breakout for this module will help you learn about citation managers.
