Jessica Ayers (Simpson lab) and Aquene Reid (Young & Jayadev lab) were awarded Best Poster at the 2023 Cascadia Regenerative Medicine Symposium!

Jess’s poster focused on generating an organotypic epidermal cell culture model for Hailey-Hailey Disease and utilizing that cell culture model to study the pathophysiology and uncover potential therapeutic targets for the disease. 

Aquene’s poster focused on using human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived microglia and neuron cocultures to study how microglia-neuron interactions change in the context of Alzheimer’s disease.
