Staff scientist:

- This staff scientist position is focused on running and improving a Python-based image analysis pipeline , to address original research questions in actin cytoskeletal cell biology.
- Other job areas include: conducting mammalian and stem cell culture; fluorescence microscopy (confocal, lattice light-sheet)
- Background in computational image analysis, data science, or Python-based analysis preferred
- Other potential interests/background include molecular biology, computer programming, computational modeling, machine learning, collaborative notetaking and knowledge management tools

- The lab is accepting PhD students for the upcoming year.
- Students will carry out interdisciplinary research on the mechanical relationship between the actin cytoskeleton and cellular membrane trafficking, and learn a combination of techniques ranging from fluorescence microscopy, stem cell culture, and CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, computational image analysis, and modeling.
