In Dr. Phil’s Fawcett’s “lunch and learn”  you will get the opportunity to learn and practice the art of pitching your ideas.

Specifically you will learn:

What to talk about when pitching your business idea.
How to think like a potential “investor”.
How to determine the “touch points” with future investors so they will want to hear more.
Practice your pitching for current and future idea. 
How to scale your pitch to the opportunity and the allotted timeframe.
How to get to closure with investors and other funding sources with your idea
Understand and apply the business model canvas and other models to help move your ideas forward.
You will leave this session with the tools and practice to move your ideas forward faster now and in the future.
How to prototype, incubate, and test your ideas in the marketplace before pitching for investment.

About Phil Fawcett

 

 

Dr. Phil Fawcett spent 30.5 years at Microsoft where he completed 25 product ships, conducted over 80 usability tests, engaged in worldwide technology transfer, filed seven patents, and served as executive manager, individual contributor, and technical evangelist. He has mentored more than 200 startups and entrepreneurs with reference to new technology development, business model development, coaching on how create and deliver investor pitches and development of traction with customers. Dr. Phil received his PhD from the University of Washington, School of Information, his MBA from Seattle University with a focus on leadership, and a BA in Business from Seattle Pacific Univ. with a focus on business and accounting. His experience includes the following: strategic partnerships as capstone sponsor manager and project instructor for  85 capstone/practicum teams, course designer and instructor for graduate and undergraduate level HCI- UI/UX, software test engineering courses, data visualization, database, web development, entrepreneurship, and design thinking at UW, WSU, and Oxford.
