Ph.D. Candidate Maral Sahebjame Publishes in Two Scholarly Journals
Maral Sahebjame has published two pieces in scholarly journals. The peer reviewed article “Rewriting Gender in Post-revolutionary Iran: How Cohabitation comes to Embody the Affair between Law and Society” appears in the journal Frontiers. Ms. Sahebjame’s book review of Women & Equality in Iran: Law, Society and Activism (2019) appears in the journal Gender and Development.
Ms. Sahebjame is interested in examining gender and marriage in the Islamic Republic of Iran through the framework of the everyday, as well as the relationship between clerics, the law, and society.
