CREW is a nonprofit public-private coalition of business people, emergency managers, scientists, government officials and civic leaders who work together to reduce the effects of earthquakes and related hazards, such as tsunami, throughout the Cascadia region.

NHERI Natural Hazards Reconnaissance Experimental Facility

The Natural Hazards Reconnaissance Experimental Facility, funded by an NSF NHERI grant, enables the collection, assessment and archiving of high-quality data in the aftermath of disasters. The facility houses state-of-the art equipment to support the collection of perishable data in the aftermath of earthquakes and wind hazards.

Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN)

 To monitor earthquake and volcanic activity across the Pacific Northwest, the University of Washington and the University of Oregon cooperatively operate the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN). The PNSN is sponsored by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the U.S. Department of Energy, the State of Washington, and the State of Oregon.

Pacific Northwest Transportation Consortium (Pactrans)

PacTrans is a Regional University Transportation Center administered by the United States Department of Transportation through its Research and Innovative Technology Administration. PacTrans performs transportation research and education in the Pacific Northwest including Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Washington State Transportation Center (TRAC)

The Washington State Transportation Center (TRAC) is a cooperative, interdisciplinary transportation research agency. Its broad overall mission is to help connect the University with public agencies and private firms, both local and national, that are involved in transportation, while also performing a variety of research for those organizations.
