Dr. Dabiri’s studies fundamental fluid flows through new and advanced quantitative flow imaging techniques. He has and is developing novel methods in 2D and 3D Particle Tracking Velocimetry, and simultaneous global pressure, temperature and velocimetry measurements, for applications in studies of Aerodynamics, Hydrodynamics, Laminar and turbulent boundary layers, transition, separation, flow control, experimental approaches to turbulence modeling, wake flows, and micro-flows, cardiovascular flows and aero-acoustics.

Colin is pursuing a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at UW with a focus in fluids. His research focuses on enhancing the pressure sensitive paint methodology. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University.
Jarrett Van Dyke
Graduate Researcher
Jarrett is pursuing an M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics with a focus in controls at UW. His research is in developing a stability and control system for a novel aircraft design. He earned his B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy.
Benito Chacko
Graduate Researcher
Benito is pursuing a M.S, in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Washington with a focus on Mechanics, Materials and Manufacturing. His current research is focused on the construction and testing of various elements of a hypersonic wind tunnel. He earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington also.
Eloi Lebrec

Eloi is pursuing a M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics at the University of Washington. He received a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Grenoble Institute of Technology prior to embarking on the Master’s program at UW. He is currently working on hypersonic tunnel.
Akshay Gupta

Akshay is pursuing MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics in the University of Washington with a specialization in fluids. He graduated from the Nirma University in India with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is now developing pressure-sensitive paint and improving its effectiveness.
