public access to ict in colombia

THIS IS an in-depth study of Public Access Venues in Colombia, in collaboration with Fundación Colombia Multicolor, and ICESI University in Cali, Colombia. It builds on the results of the Landscape Study of Public Access to ICT in 25 Countries.

Our goal is to enrich the understanding of some of the ideas we uncovered in the global landscape study, with in-depth research in five regions of the country. We strengthened and improved the data collection tools used in the global study (expert interviews, operator interviews, user surveys), and add two new data collection tools to go in-depth (life histories, information ecology workshops). We also explore dimensions of social impact of public access.
