What Do We Do?
We are the University of Washington iSchool student chapter of the American Library Association (sALA)! We are graduate students from the University of Washington’s Master of Library and Information Science programs.
We connect you with the American Library Association (ALA) and the library world beyond the iSchool. Our goal is to increase awareness of national issues in library and information science and the dynamic resources offered by ALA, including its publications, promotional materials, scholarships, and conferences.
We are a Registered Student Organization through UW’s Student Activities Office. While membership in ALA or state library associations is encouraged, it is not necessary to join or partner with this club.

I am an online MLIS student excited about public service, technology, and community engagement. My priorities are connecting students with the resources available through ALA and providing forums for critical discussion. Please reach out to me if you are interested in programming, partnering, or receiving support from our club!

I am an online MLIS student with concentrations in copyright and university librarianship. My goal is to make sALA programming accessible to online-only students. Please reach out to me if you have any concerns or ideas for improving our online programming.
