SCI-D Evaluation Research Study

Evaluating Service Delivery and Supports for Service Members and Veterans with Spinal Cord Injuries and Disorders (SCI-D)

The University of Washington is conducting a study to evaluate how health services and supports contribute to improved quality of life for Service Members and Veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI-D). Our focus is on services provided by the Military Health System (MHS) and Veterans Health Administration. As part of this effort we interviewed 128 Service members, veterans, caregivers, health care providers and staff, and community support staff from March-December 2020. We hope to identify areas of improvement for SCI-D patients and their caregivers.
