Other information:

Sharon is originally from New Zealand, but spent part of her childhood in Papua New Guinea. Sharon and Brian met during grad school in Seattle and have been married since 1997, and they have two sons, Thomas and James. Sharon attends Shoreline Christian Reformed Church. She is a keen gardener, especially of fruits. She grows plums, cherries, pears, apples, medlars, cornelian cherries, quince, blueberries, red and black currants, gooseberries, elderberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and grapes.
