The California State University, Sacramento Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (Speech Pathology and Audiology) is currently recruiting for a temporary full-time audiology lecturer to assist with development of a potential AuD program. Duties/Responsibilities
The department is currently in the process of developing a projection proposal for a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) and is seeking approval to submit a full degree program proposal. Duties include:
– AuD Program development including alignment of the program to the expectation of accrediting
bodies.
– Liaison with CSU AuD workgroup
– Syllabi/Course development
– Curriculum development/proposals
– Teaching Undergraduate and Graduate Coursework in Communication Science and Disorders
– Liaison to local professional networks in audiology and clinical placement development.
– Work with department and campus team(s) on facility design and identification of potential
material and equipment purchases.
– Advisor to audiology emphasis students
Qualifications
REQUIRED
– PhD in Audiology
– Current CCCA (ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology)
– Eligible for California Licensure in Audiology
– Eligible for California Hearing Aid Dispenser License
– Current practice and minimum three years clinical experience in Practicing Audiology
– Experience and/or potential for teaching in higher education.
– Experience and/or potential with clinical supervision.
– Evidence of, or potential for, research and scholarly activities, such as major presentations,
publications, grants, and research.
– Experience and/or potential for university and community service.
– Demonstrated ability to interact and work with students, staff, and colleagues in a diverse
academic community.
– Experience and/or potential for participation in department and university committees.
PREFERRED
– Current FAAA (Fellow Member American Academy of Audiology)
– Experience and/or potential for program development
– Experience and/or potential for curriculum, syllabi and course development
Appointment
This is a temporary Fulltime Lecturer Appointment for the Spring 2017 and 201718 Academic Year. Candidate will be required to provide official transcripts of their highest degree earned and must furnish proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
