Assistant Professor of CSD Position – The University of Maine

This 9-month tenure-track position involves (1) a 2/2 teaching load, (2) service to the department, clinic and university, and (3) conducting research. Opportunities for summer teaching available. Candidates with expertise in child language, autism, and early intervention are preferred although other areas of expertise may be considered. Candidates with research activities directly integrated with clinical practice are encouraged to apply. Candidates must be committed to working effectively and cooperatively with colleagues in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and our on-campus Conley Speech, Language and Hearing Center, the University of Maine administration, the campus community, and other external clients and customers. The successful candidate will develop and maintain professional relationships that reflect courtesy, civility, and mutual respect.

  • Earned Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Eligibility for Maine state license by date of hire.
  • University-level teaching and supervision experience preferred
