Students: MSDUE: MARCH 1, 2018Funding Amt: $1000Award Summary: For students who are pursuing a graduate degree in SLP and plan to provide services to children in school or early intervention settings following graduation.Eligibility Info: Must be pursing a master’s degree full time in an ASHA accredited program.
Students: PhDDUE: MARCH 15, 2018Funding Amt: Two, $30,000 fellowships. Funding across 12 consecutive months (or less)Award Summary: For students who are “all but dissertation”. Allows recipients to devote full time to the completion of their doctoral dissertation. Funds can be used for living expenses, insurance, equipment, travel, etc.Eligibility Info: Must be completing a dissertation involving both language and brain variables. Must have all PhD requirements except the dissertation completed.Special Notes: Must be nominated by the Department Chair, GPC or Program Director.

Includes summer.Eligibility Info: Must be a US citizen, pursuing SLP or AuD degree full-time, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.

Students: BS, MS, and AuDDUE: APRIL 16, 2018Funding Amt: $1000 and networking opportunities at the ASHA conventionAward Summary: Provides financial support to students interested in pursuing a PhD or a career as a faculty-research in the CSD fieldEligibility Info: For full-time undergraduate CSD majors (juniors or seniors) and graduate students enrolled in master’s or AuD programs (1st and 2nd year only). Must be a NSSLHA member at the time funds are allocated.
Students: MS and AuDDUE: APRIL 27, 2018Funding Amt: Several $500-$100 awards, with one $6000 award (Total of $150k)Eligibility Info: For graduate students enrolled in an accredited PT, OT, SLP or AuD program.
Students: PhD student who is part of an ethnic/racial minority groupDUE: APRIL 30, 2018Funding Amt: $15,000 stipend plus tuition and fees for the final dissertation year.Eligibility Info: For PhC students who have passed their general exam.Special Notes: Must be nominated by the Department Chair or GPC.
Institute for Ethnic Studies in the US (IESUS) Publication Fellowship (GO-MAP)
Students: PhD student who is part of an ethnic/racial minority groupDUE: APRIL 30, 2018Funding Amt: One quarter stipend plus tuition and fees to allow students time away from teaching or research responsibilities to focus on publication submission.Eligibility Info: Must be in the process of newly submitting to a journal or recently submitting and revising a submission within the academic year. Cannot be held with a TA/RA appt.Special Notes: Must be nominated by the Department Chair or GPC.
AAAF (American Academy of Audiology Foundation) Scholarships & Grants
AAAF has 4 upcoming scholarships. The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences may only nominate one student per award each year and individual students may only win one award each year (but may be nominated for multiple awards).

DUE: APRIL 30, 2018
1) Empowering People Scholarship ($5000) A student who shows exceptional promise as a clinical audiologist.
2) Judith Blumsack Scholarship and Roger Ruth Memorial Scholarship ($1000) – A student who demonstrates outstanding clinical skills and who shows promise in terms of clinical research and service to the professional community and/or the community at large.
3) Sadanand Singh Memorial Scholarship ($1000) – A minority and/or international student who shows exceptional promise in audiology research.
4) Patient Quality of Life Scholarship ($3000) A student who shows exceptional promise in providing outstanding patient care as a clinical audiologist.

May use funds to cover tuition, books and supplies. Includes summer.Eligibility Info: Must have 40db bilateral hearing loss or less, be a US Citizen, be pursuing a bachelor’s degree full-time, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
Students: Undergraduate seniors, MS, AuD, and PhDDUE: MAY 7, 2018Funding Amt: Free ASHA 2018 convention registration, 5 nights of lodging, meal stipend and program matertials.Award Summary: Students participate in a set of leadership-focused activites and develop a list of prospective mentors.Eligibility Info: Preference given to students who are members of an ethnic/racial minority group. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate CSD program or a CAA-accredited graduate program.
