Job Description:
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota (UND) seeks a Clinical Assistant Professor for its new, state of the art Northern Prairie Community Clinic. This is a 9-month non-tenure track position with a beginning date of August 16, 2018. Responsibilities include clinical supervision, undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as advisement of graduate students. The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota offers undergraduate and graduate master’s degree programs in communication sciences and disorders. The department currently has eight full time and five part time faculty members, and a newly built clinic facility. The department typically has about 100 undergraduate and 40 graduate students enrolled.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clinical supervision
- Undergraduate and graduate teaching (four courses per academic year)
- Advisement of graduate students
- College and University Service
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
- A terminal degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (including clinicaldoctorate) or related field
- North Dakota state licensure or eligibility
Preferred Skills/Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in academic teaching
- Experience in clinical supervision
- Expertise in speech sound disorders and/or voice
- Research experience or evidence of scholarly work
- Grant writing experience
Remuneration: Salary is competitive. Benefits include payment of ASHA dues and North Dakota licensing fee. Opportunities for clinical research and supervision in summer clinic are available.
