Job Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ communication skills (articulation, fluency, voice, expressive & receptive language, etc.) to determine communication disorders, special education eligibility, and recommendations for treatment.
- Create and provide input to Evaluation Team documentation and Individual Education Programs (IEP).
- Develop and implement treatment plans, interventions and/or materials for caseload.
- Provide direct therapy as designated by IEPs.
- Complete and maintain appropriate files, records, documentation, state, and district reports.
- Communicate and establish positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community resources.
- Recognize and respond to student’s personal, educational, and/or social needs.
- Become familiar with teacher expectations of students and facilitate desirable individual and group performance and behavior.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Site Supervisor or Federal Projects Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communications Science Disorders; AND,
- MT Licensure in Speech Language Pathology upon employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an education setting.
- Knowledge of current instructional materials and techniques.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift and carry items up to 40 pounds.
