Job Description

Vallivue School District is seeking two full time SLPs who wish to work in a collaborative school community including 9 other SLPs. Vallivue offers competitive salaries and benefit packages along with paid professional and sick leave days. A vast farming community and wine vineyards surround the school district which is just 25 miles west of Boise, Idaho.
TITLE: SPEECH-LANGUAGE SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS Pupil Personnel Services Certificate with appropriate endorsements, such as Speech-Language Pathologist Ability to effectively apply the principles of assessment, treatment, and prevention of speech, language, and hearing disorders Demonstrated knowledge in the field of speech-language pathology Works well with students, staff, and the public Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal, and communication skills Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY TO Secondary Counselor/District Test Coordinator and Director of Special Education
JOB SUMMARY
To provide identification, intervention, and special services to students with language, speech, and hearing disorders to help reduce or eliminate speech and hearing impediments that may interfere with students’ ability to derive full benefit from the district’s educational program.
