The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is recruiting for a part-
time Speech-language Pathologist.
Under the supervision of Dr. Sara Jane Webb, projects in the Research in Autism and
the Brain, UW and Psychophysiology and Behavioral Systems lab, SCRI are focused on
the development of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, developing methods
to predict development outcomes, assessing engagement of targeted neural systems,
and/or enhancing understanding of outcomes in clinical trials.
The Speech-language Pathologist will provide support for a clinical trial and basic
science research study with children (5-17 years) with 16p11.2 deletion syndrome,
autism and/or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Job roles include conducting
speech and motor assessments to study participants; creating evaluation reports,
facilitating participant engagement; development and monitoring of research procedures
in relation to the speech and motor assessments; and responsibility for quality
assurance systems to accomplish research goals. Work location will be the Center on
Human Development and Disabilities at the University of Washington, Seattle WA. More

Requirements
Required Education/Experience:
– Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university. Current
students with anticipated graduation date of June 2022 are welcome to apply.
Required Credentials:
– Washington State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Current students with
anticipated graduation date of June 2022 are welcome to apply.
Preferred:
– Experience with pediatric population
