The Fujise Lab


Welcome to the Fujise Lab

The Fujise Lab started in July 1996 in Houston, Texas. Its operation continued in Galveston between 2007 and 2020. The Lab is currently located in the South Lake Union campus of the University of Washington. The Lab is a molecular biology lab with strong emphasis in biotechnology and translational medicine. Dr. Fujise, the Principal Investigator, is a physician-scientist who is passionate about elucidating the role of fortilin in human diseases.


Our Goal

The goal of the Fujise Lab is to study the role of fortilin in human diseases and to bring the discovery from bench to bedside.


Our Approach

The Fujise Lab takes a team science approach where each member of the lab contribute to the success of the project through his/her unique talents and skill sets. The Lab thrives to be remarkably successful through the success of each and every member of the Lab.


Our Current Project

Currently the Lab elucidates the role of fortilin in antherosclerosis and heart failure.
