Good morning Huskies!
Our cozy cloud cover has returned! With temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s and pockets of drizzle, it feels more like a typical spring day around the sound.
Today will be our last dry day across western Washington as our pattern continues to shift from ridges of high pressure and offshore flow to zonal onshore flow. Temperatures will be much cooler than what we’ve been used to thanks to those clouds. High’s today will only make it up into the mid 50s across the western half of the state.
Rain will make it to the coast by late tonight then spread inland by tomorrow morning. Taking a look at our future cast for Wednesday, you can see steady rain across most of Puget Sound by 9 AM.
Rain will continue into the early afternoon on Wednesday before tapering to showers by the evening. Rainfall totals with this system will be around half an inch, which should help us make up for our well below average rainfall so far this month.
The chance of showers continues to linger into Thursday morning, although scattered sun breaks in the afternoon should warm us up to around 60 degrees. More sun returns on Friday with high temperatures in the lower to mid 60s before rain returns in time for the weekend.
