Good Morning Huskies!

After some sunshine this morning the clouds are beginning to increase which is a sign of our next weather system that is making its way towards the coast.

Taking a look at the current satellite picture you can see our next storm in the Gulf of Alaska stretching all the way from off the northern California coast up to Alaska.  A warm front is currently sitting off our coast which will push inland into the day. While the clouds might put a damper on any outdoor plans rain should hold off until later tonight, so you won’t have to worry about dodging any raindrops during the day today. Despite the clouds temperatures today should make it up into the mid 60s, so overall it will be a very pleasant day.

Most of the rain associated with this front will fall overnight tonight into early Monday morning but scattered showers will continue throughout the day on Monday. Rainfall totals wont be as significant as Wednesday’s system, but most locations around the sound should pick up anywhere from 0.05-0.30 inches of rain.

Like yesterday’s storm, our next system will be bringing some winds with it. Wind gusts will peak overnight tonight with gusts around 20 to 25 mph around Puget Sound with gusts upwards of 30 mph up in the northwest interior and along the coast.
