Hey Huskies,
As temperatures reached the 80s this week and “Juneuary” became a distant memory, the debate of “Is the weather too cold and wet?” shifted to “Is the weather too hot and dry?”. If recent weather has been too hot and dry for you, today’s weather may be more enjoyable. A cold front will pass through western Washington today, but do not be deceived; the weather will be far from cold. Temperatures around the Puget Sound currently range from the low to mid 60s and are expected to peak in the low to mid 70s this afternoon.
Showers are currently impacting the Skagit and Whatcom area. A convergence zone is likely to bring scattered showers south to the Snohomish and north King County regions this afternoon, though do not expect a deluge of rain.
Cloudier weather should abate by midday tomorrow and temperatures will climb back into the 80s on Thursday and Friday. Familiar wet weekend weather should return Friday evening for the weekend. Perhaps a compromise can be reached between warm summery weather and cool cozy weather fans as long term forecasts indicate temperatures in the low 70s early next week. In the meantime, enjoy the final week of June!
