Happy Saturday Huskies!

The final weekend of June began with a majestic scene last night. Despite widespread cloud cover, many around the Pacific Northwest were treated to a gorgeous sunset. Hopefully you were able to indulge in nature’s atmospheric canvas last night.

The streak of precipitation on weekends continues today, as a cold front heads inland this evening and brings showers to the area. This front is far cooler than Wednesday’s, which yielded temperatures in the upper 70s. The high today should reach the mid 60s around the Puget Sound and slightly cooler temperatures towards the coast. Up to a quarter inch of precipitation overnight is possible in some regions, though totals will likely be lower.

After an overnight low in the mid 50s, Sunday’s temperatures should rise back into the low 70s in Seattle as the front leaves the area and skies clear. Afternoon thunderstorms are possible, albeit unlikely, depending on how warm the surface gets. Sunday evening might be a great time to get outside with warm temperatures, calm winds, and a clearing sky. Perhaps the last weekend of June will conclude with another majestic Pacific Northwest sunset!
