Good Morning, Huskies!

If you’ve stepped outside at all this morning, you may have noticed temperatures are feeling a bit toastier than usual. There’s a heat advisory for parts of western Washington in place until 8pm tonight, as highs around the south Sound and the southern I-5 corridor are expected to reach the mid 90s by this afternoon!

Meanwhile, highs in parts of eastern Washington will likely exceed 100 degrees for the next four days in a row. A heat advisory has been issued for these regions as well.

Record-breaking temperatures are possible statewide, so get your fans and air conditioners ready! Remember to drink plenty of water and limit strenuous outdoor activities to early in the morning or late at night in order to reduce your risk of heat exhaustion.

Stay cool and stay safe!
