Happy Saturday Huskies,

If you are wondering where the blue skies have gone, do not despair. The curtain of clouds will soon lift and we will see blue skies this afternoon. The marine layer will help cool off temperatures today, though the high is expected to reach 80 degrees. Winds should be lighter that earlier this week. The clear skies will lead to slightly cooler temperatures overnight, in the upper 50s.

Tomorrow onshore flow will continue and the skies will be partially cloudy. Temperatures in the low 80s are forecast for the Puget Sound region. We could see some precipitation on Sunday night and Monday morning as the trough leaves the region. A ridge will begin building on Tuesday. Highs in the high 70s and low 80s are expected for the start of the week with lows in the mid-to-high 50s.

Temperatures are still hot in eastern Washington, but thankfully temperatures above 100 degrees are unlikely this week. Highs in the low 90s in Yakima, mid 80s in Ellensburg, and mid 90s in Spokane are expected today. Enjoy the weekend and the beginning of August!
