Hey Huskies!
Yesterday we received record-setting rainfall in Seattle to kick off the start of fall, and today will only bring more excitement in the form of scattered thunderstorms throughout western Washington. You can expect conditions to vary as we make our way through the day with intermittent thundershowers and the occasional sunbreak here and there. You can see some of those storms hovering over our side of the state already on the radar.
Heavier rain will pick up again as we move into tomorrow, resulting in low visibility and slippery streets, so be sure to drive slowly and leave plenty of following distance while commuting! On Saturday, precipitation will begin to lighten up with a few morning showers followed by afternoon clearing.
While the wet, stormy weather may lead one to believe fall is in full swing, things will rapidly warm up and clear conditions will return for at least one more stretch of summer-like weather starting next week. Partly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 70s are expected Sunday through Tuesday, and by Wednesday, we’ll likely see sunshine and temperatures nearing 80 degrees!
