Hey Huskies!

The taste of wintry weather we experienced last weekend is beginning to feel like a distant memory, as the overcast skies and mild temperatures characteristic of autumn in Seattle have been back for a couple days now. It’s looking a bit gray and drizzly out there this morning, but fortunately we’ll see some partial clearing allowing for a few glimpses of sunshine as we move into the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 50s—significantly warmer than temperatures we saw at the start of the week—so you shouldn’t need to pile on quite as many layers in order to step foot outside.

A cold front will sweep over the region overnight tonight and into tomorrow, resulting in a brief period of showers before sunshine returns on Saturday just in time for Halloween! If a precipitation-free holiday isn’t exciting enough as it is, we’ll also be seeing a Blue Moon (the second occurrence of a full moon this month) on Halloween night, so be sure to get out and take a look at the sky!

Sunday marks both the start of November and the end of Daylight Saving Time, so don’t forget to set your clocks back on Saturday night. After the time change, our afternoons will start to get much darker, as sunsets will begin with the number four, but on the brighter side (no pun intended), we will get to enjoy an extra hour of sleep!
