Happy Thanksgiving Huskies!
Whether you are spending you thanksgiving day on campus, on the coast, or east of the passes, it’ll be calm day for any holiday plans.
This morning we are waking up to mainly cloudy skies with some pockets of drizzle west of the cascades, with temperatures ranging from the upper 30s to low 40s. Morning temperatures are in the 20s to lower 30s east of the mountains which is making for some areas of freezing fog in the Columbia basin, so be careful if you’re running any last minute errands in that fog this morning.
We’ll stick with a few pockets of drizzle today on the westside, but most of us will stay dry, leaving us with a pleasant thanksgiving day for any outdoor gatherings or afternoon walks. Temperatures in Seattle should make it right up to about 50 degrees this afternoon.
Eastern Washington will continue to live up to its drier and sunnier climate today. Any areas of morning fog should start to burn off this afternoon, leaving everyone from Ellensburg to the Tri-Cities with a mixture of clouds and some sunshine. Clouds may stick around in the northeastern part of the state today keeping areas like Spokane in the upper 30s for high temperatures.
Friday will bring much of the same to the state, with mostly cloudy skies and highs around 50 degrees in Seattle, and partly cloudy skies with highs around 40 east of the cascades. A weak disturbance will clip Western Washington Friday night into Saturday morning, bringing another round of light rainfall, but any precipitation will be confined to Western and Central Washington.
From all of us at the Dawgcast, we wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
