Forecast: December 7th, 2020

By Matthew Charchenko

Welcome to the final week of the quarter everyone! You’re almost to winter break!

After all of that beautiful sunshine last week, some great study weather is on the way. The Pacific storm track that had shifted well to our north last week is starting to make its way back to the south, which will swap out our sunshine for some clouds and rain.

This morning, a stationary front is parked to our north in British Columbia, bringing some morning showers to the Olympic Peninsula and areas north of Seattle.

This front wont move much during the day today, so it should remain mainly dry on campus, but don’t be surprised if you get hit with a couple of sprinkles later this morning into the early afternoon.

While we should avoid the showers on campus today, we’ll keep those clouds around for the day. Highs will make it up into the low to mid 50s, which is above average for this time of year.

Overnight tonight into Tuesday, that front will start to push southward, spreading steadier rainfall into Seattle. By 7am tomorrow just about everyone in Western Washington will be dealing with the rain.
