The UW Dawgcast

Forecast: February 27th, 2021

By Rachael Fewkes

Hey Huskies!

Hopefully you enjoyed the scattered thunderstorms that made an appearance around the region last night. We saw quite a few lightning strikes and heard some loud thunder here at the UW campus!

For today, you can expect less eventful weather with partly sunny skies and dry conditions lasting until this evening. As we move into tonight, cloud cover will increase as a weak system moves through, and light precipitation will return.

Showers will linger into tomorrow morning, but should fizzle out by tomorrow afternoon, leaving us with overcast skies for the remainder of the day. Highs will be in the low 50s.

Looking ahead into next week, partly sunny skies and warmer temperatures in the mid-50s are in the forecast for Monday. Temperatures will cool back down into the upper 40s to low 50s on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the partially clear skies will stick around until showers pick up again on Thursday. It’s starting to feel like spring!

Make sure to get outside, enjoy the sunshine, and have a wonderful weekend!
