Happy Friday Huskies!
Hope you didn’t get too drenched this morning coming to class. The rain will be dying down as the afternoon rolls in, but it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing much sun for a little while. Saturday will be a brief break early in the morning, as a small front passes over us. Unfortunately, it’s not going to last, as another atmospheric river branch is expected to arrive by the end of the weekend, delivering another couple days of November rain right to our doorstep yet again.

Note the second cluster in the bottom-left corner, which will grow and hit us soon.
For those looking for a forecast about tomorrow’s game, Saturday’s dry spell won’t be lasting. According to the GFS model, chances of rain go up to about 75-80% starting around 4 PM, right when the game will be starting, hopefully killing the spirit of those sunny Arizonans. On top of that, beware of fog forming early in the evening after the game. If you’re coming in from out of town, best to be careful while driving home.

Today, we should be reaching a high in the mid-50s within a couple of hours, which will cool down to the mid-40s overnight. As is typical for this time of year, we’ll be bouncing back and forth in that range for some time to come. As mentioned previously, expect a slight dry spell Saturday morning, with some more showers Saturday evening, which will intensify into heavier rainfall at the start of next week as the atmospheric river hits us. For those of you who live near rivers, flood warnings have been issued for certain parts of Western Washington due to the continuous downpour of rain. Stay safe out there, and enjoy your wet weekend!
