Hey Huskies!

It’s been a chilly week so far with temperatures maxing out in the 40s ever since last weekend, making a warm turkey dinner sound especially appetizing. Only one more day of walking to classes in the cold before we get a break for the holiday to relax and re-energize just in time to finish the quarter strong!

Temperatures across WA state at 4:00 PM this afternoon.

Pass conditions have been steadily improving throughout the day and will continue to improve into tomorrow as conditions dry out and mountain snow ceases. If you’re planning on traveling over to the other side of the state to visit friends or family prior to or on Thanksgiving, winter driving conditions are not expected, but it’s always a good idea to take a look at the pass reports before your trip just to be extra safe. After a short break from precipitation tomorrow, rain and wind will return on Thursday thanks to the first of three atmospheric river events expected within the next week. Thursday’s storm will bring 0.5-1.5 inches of precip in the lowlands and 2-4 inches are expected in the mountains. Two more atmospheric river events are expected heading into the weekend and early next week, posing a potential flood threat, but rainfall totals with these last two events are still uncertain.

Total precipitation expected to fall across WA state between 4:00 PM Wednesday and 4:00 PM Friday.

Have a wonderful evening!
