Happy Monday, Huskies!

For most of us students, the start of this quarter has been nothing short of an inconsistent whirlwind. Don’t worry though, in the mesh of online and in-person classes, those of us craving any kind of consistency will be able to find it in this week’s weather. For the next few days, make cool temperatures and dreary fog something you can count on!

Today itself will be calm and foggy, but dry. The fog will ensure chillier-than-usual temperatures with a high around 41 today, as opposed to the average high this time of the year which is closer to 47. Temperatures tonight will dip near freezing, so be sure to bring a jacket when venturing outside.

The next few days will follow suit as the looming ridge of high pressure continues to provide us with the perfect foggy study weather. The resulting lack of sunlight will sustain today’s cool temperatures, and we will continue to see highs in the low-to-mid 40s and lows in the low-to-mid 30s until around Thursday this week.

The stagnant gloomy fog will also trap pollutants near the surface, so watch out  for the continually worsening air quality as the foggy week drags on.

After Thursday, the fog will begin to clear and daytime temperatures will stay in the high 40s for the weekend.

To make up for the pleasant warmer weather coming, there is a chance of rain this weekend that may put our beloved dry streak in danger…
