Good afternoon Huskies!

A beautiful weekend is on tap for all of Western Washington as a persistent ridge of high pressure keeps us dry and mostly sunny. As of 1:30 today, temperatures in Seattle have risen into the upper 40s, with only some light and variable wind in the area.

With it finally feeling Spring, I know I’ll be spending as much time as possible soaking up the sun this weekend, but if you’re someone that suffers from seasonal allergies, you may not be so lucky. Tree pollen levels are extremely high today, hovering around 1900 grams of pollen per cubic meter, which is more than three times the threshold for “very high pollen.” Pollen levels are expected to stabilize tomorrow a bit, but will likely remain moderate to high for days to come.

The upcoming week in weather looks to be quite boring here in the Seattle area, with temperatures hanging roughly around average for this time of year, and no big storms expected. Things should remain completely dry through Monday, then Tuesday a weak area of low pressure will bring some light rain. Expect lingering showers Wednesday morning, and then another couple days of dry weather. As temperatures get quite cold early Thursday morning, there will be a very slight chance of a snow shower, but as of now its seeming more likely we remain dry or get more drizzle.

Enjoy the sunshine this weekend Huskies!
