Happy First Day of Spring Quarter, Huskies!
If your winter quarter went anything like mine, then we can agree that the air of spring quarter and new beginnings is a wonderful and refreshing scent right now. To ensure that this start will be anything but boring, Seattle weather is bringing us a little bit of everything this week.
Today will be, and has been, pretty average for this time of year. We should have a high of around 57 with clouds and a few afternoon sprinkles that will all be sure to put everyone back into the study mindset. Even better, as the afternoon becomes evening, the drizzle may fizzle out into sunbreaks in time for sunset.
Tomorrow an area of high pressure will be moving through, making for a dry and relatively pleasant Tuesday. The day should be mostly cloudy, with some sun, and a high of almost 60. Don’t worry though, our beloved rain will return by Wednesday!
The next few days will be a little cooler than usual: both Wednesday and Thursday should feature highs in the low 50s. As mentioned earlier, Wednesday will be a classic rainy day with scattered showers throughout. Then, to complement the previously bleak day, Thursday will bring us some sun after a chance of morning rain.
Looking towards the weekend, while we can’t say for sure yet, it seems as though there won’t be nearly as much variety. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday should be mostly cloudy with scattered chances of rain and highs in the mid 50s.
While the allure of a shiny fresh start may wear off by tomorrow, we can still hold hope that this quarter will run smoother than the last. Good luck with the start of the new quarter, and be sure to stay tuned for more Dawgcast updates as the week goes on.
