After a wet and windy Monday, we’ve returned to showers and sunbreaks for the next few days.

Tuesday’s thunderstorm outlook

Tuesday will feature passing clouds and temperatures on either side of 50 degrees. Showers may have the chance to drop small hail, and a few lightning strikes are not out of the question.

Showers will be more numerous in nature Wednesday and Thursday as a few disturbances pass offshore. For Wednesday, the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has issued a marginal risk for severe storms along the Oregon Coast and far southwestern Washington. A few storms may spin a tornado or large hail by Pacific Northwest standards. Puget Sound will also have a chance for storms, but the main action will be along the coast and toward Portland.

We may escape with a relatively dry weekend, with temperatures rebounding to a more seasonal level around 60 degrees.

Enjoy the week!
