Hey Huskies!

Hopefully you had a chance to spend some time outdoors this weekend enjoying the sunshine and warm weather! It was beautiful out there – here’s a picture from Golden Gardens yesterday evening.

Today, scattered showers and cooler temperatures are back due to a weak frontal system moving through the region. High temperatures will peak in the upper 50s, nearly ten degrees cooler than yesterday.

GOES West Coast Satellite with Overlaid Fronts

Models are showing a series of weak systems passing through over the next few days, so you can expect at least the occasional shower every day. Tomorrow there is a chance for isolated thunderstorms with the combination of cool air aloft and the sun heating up the surface during the day, so keep an eye out for that! Wednesday looks like it will be the driest day we’ll have this week.

Temperatures will stay cool in the 50s through at least this weekend, and according to the NOAA 8-14 Day Temperature Outlook, the cool weather will likely stick around through the first week of May as well.

Stay dry and have a wonderful week!
