Happy Wednesday!

Over halfway through week 8, almost summer! However in Washington temps have been feeling more like early spring. As you can see in the graph below, we have been well below the normal temperature range for the month of May.

Last night and this morning we saw rainfall followed by strong daytime winds. One weather observation station on the UW campus even recorded gusts of 40 knots!  These weather events were due to a cold front passing through.

We are gearing up for another system tonight bringing overnight rainfall again, however the winds will stay on the low side. Tomorrow will see partly cloudy conditions with sunbreaks and possible showers, however the chance for showers will decrease as the day goes on.

Happy to say that after a cooler day tomorrow a ridge of higher pressure is coming our way. This will result in gradual warming starting on Friday and culminating with a high in the 70s on Sunday! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend to get some sunshine and recharge before week 9!
