Happy Monday, Huskies! Week 4 is starting off much more comfortably than yesterday’s record breaking high temperatures. Yesterday (October 16th) was the first time we have ever seen temperatures above 80 degrees so late into the year. SeaTac reported a high of 88 degrees when the normal high is 60 degrees. Also, it has been the warmest October to date on record. The unusually warm temperatures recorded from the 1st through the 15th may have well been the last push of summer-like weather. This week, however, we may be experiencing the fall temperatures and rain we have all been anticipating.

Today we’re seeing mostly sunny skies with a few clouds. We will reach a high temperature nearing the upper 60’s with a nighttime low of 52 degrees. As we get nearer to daylight savings on November 6th, our days will begin to feel much shorter with the lack of daylight. Tonight the sun will set at 6:17 pm.

We will continue this trend through Thursday until cloud cover and a chance of rain rolls in on Friday. Temperatures will plummet below 60 degrees this weekend, making for the perfect pumpkin patch and studying weather. Have a great week!
