Hello Huskies! Happy Friday!

Now that the smoke has finally cleared, we can finally breathe easy again. Last night, a nice southerly breeze blew the smoke away to make way for the rain today.

Friday’s forecast includes some long-awaited showers, as well as cooler temperatures in the 50s. So far this month Seattle has observed 18 days of above-average temperatures, and only two below average.

Interestingly, today’s high of 55F occurred at midnight, instead of during the day. So far today 0.03” of precipitation has been recorded, but there’s a lot more on the way!

Rain will taper to showers overnight, and by Saturday evening, up to half an inch of rain is expected. The high tomorrow will be in the low 50s, and the low will be on either side of 40F. If it drops below 40F, it will be Seattle’s coldest temperature since April.

Sunday’s forecast includes less clouds and more sunshine, a perfect time for a visit to the pumpkin patch! Temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 50s, still a few degrees below normal for this time of year.

Approaching Sunday night into next week, precipitation is expected to increase. Making way for a wet and rainy week!

Enjoy the weekend!
