Happy Sunday huskies! Hope you all are having a fun halloweekend so far!

So far this morning we have seen overcast skies, with some strong northerly winds, ranging from 11-17mph, giving us a windy start to the day, hold onto your hats!

Through this Sunday we can observe a frontal boundary making its way to Western Washington, producing gusty winds and areas of rainfall starting in the afternoon. Rain made its way across the Olympic Peninsula and into the Northern Cascades by this morning, though strong westerly wind in the upper atmosphere put us under the influence of a rain shadow this morning and afternoon, holding off steady rain until later into the evening and overnight when the frontal boundary moves closer and pushes an atmospheric river towards Puget Sound. So be sure to bring your umbrella for your Sunday night plans!

Temperatures for today range from the low-to-mid 50s, the clouds and rain encouraging a wet-and-chilly day. Interestingly, throughout this month we have seen a wide range of temperatures, the record high for this month being 88 degrees, occurring on the 16th! Now at the end of the month our highs are in the 50s, taking us all the way from above-average to spending some days below-average!

Now, we were hoping for some BOO-tiful weather this Halloween, but unfortunately, we are expecting to see showers scattered throughout the day and into the night. Hopefully, this rain won’t dampen any spirits! The high for tomorrow will be in the low-to-mid 50s, and lows around the upper 40s, making way for not too cold of a Halloween night!

Looking into the rest of the week, after the rain passes through, we can expect some lower temperatures than we have seen in years past. Wednesday and Thursday highs are expected to be in the mid-to-high 40s, and lows projected to be in the upper 30s to low 40s, so be sure to have your coat handy for your walks to class! Midweek we are not expected to see that much rain, scattered showers and some cloud cover expected, but be ready for some unexpected showers. Friday and Saturday we can see a cold front coming in, bringing in some stronger winds and rain to end the week.

Have a good week Huskies! And stay dry this Halloween!
