Welcome back to another short week, Huskies!
This wonderful stretch of dry weather we’ve had over the past two weeks is set to break a record today that was set in 2000. This November, we’ve had no rain since the 8th. That’s 13 consecutive days of no rain!
Today, however, will be the last of this high-pressure system. We should see highs around 50 degrees, and while there will be clouds for the rest of the day, no rain is expected.
A front will briefly envelope Seattle in rain and wind all day Tuesday, with gusts up to 30 mph possible. Fortunately, these winds are southerly and warm so we will continue to see a high of 50 degrees tomorrow.
So far this month, Seattle has only received 1.67 in of rain, way below the average of 4.42 in. Tuesday should change these numbers, with around an inch of rain expected.
Looking ahead this week, Wednesday should be dry and a good travel day, and Thanksgiving Day on Thursday looks to be even better, with sunny skies expected! Rainy weather returns over the weekend, possibly creating hazardous driving conditions for those returning from the break.
