November 29th evening update
Evening update: 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2022
By Anthony Edwards
The National Weather Service has canceled the Winter Weather Advisory for Seattle and downgraded the Winter Storm Warning for many portions of the Puget Sound to an advisory. Areas of Snohomish County, Hood Canal, and the Eastern Puget Sound Lowlands may continue to see additional snow accumulations into the evening.
Elevations below 1,000 feet that haven’t already switched to rain will likely do so in the next few hours.
Gusty winds have rapidly increased, with 25 mph winds already being reported around Seattle and gusts closer to 50 mph near the San Juans. A Wind Advisory has been issued for much of Puget Sound (south winds 30-40 mph, up to 55 mph gusts) and a High Wind Warning is posted for Whatcom, Island, and portions of Jefferson County (gusts up to 60 mph).
Temperatures cool back down Wednesday afternoon for another shot at snow!
