Happy Monday Huskies!
We can look forward to a pretty uneventful stretch of weather this week, thanks to a ridge of high pressure off the Pacific coast that will sustain for the majority of the week.
The red lines indicate higher pressure as well as the jet streams, the conveyor belt for all of our weather.
This high pressure will not mean sunshine and warm temperatures however, and the opposite can be expected. Clouds and slightly-below average temperatures will be present for much of the week, with highs around 47 degrees.
Tomorrow, light rain will brush through areas north of Seattle and the Cascades, with less than an inch of snow expected north of I90. Seattle should remain mostly dry, with only a shower or two expected in the morning and evening.
There’s the possibility for fog Wednesday and Thursday morning, clearing out to overcast both days. This combination could mean temperatures climb to around 50 degrees on Wednesday, the warmest expected for the week. Rain should finally make a return on Friday when a trough drops back down over the area.
Having rain as the most “exciting” part of the week for weather may help keep you focused on studying for midterms. We know it will for us here at Dawgcast! Enjoy the week, Huskies.
